Interested adult applicants must first apply to a high school site Tutor Coordinator for screening/initial interview/selection process (see list of sites below). Must include high school diploma and reference letter with completed tutor application. Incomplete applications will NOT be considered. You should CALL THE SCHOOL SITE FIRST to see if they have any tutoring jobs open!
IF recommended, the school site Tutor Coordinator will send your paperwork with a Personnel Request Form and a Funding Justification Form (which must be signed at the school by the Coordinator and the school Principal) to Chris Jarrett, District Administrative Offices Personnel Department for further processing and authorization of possible employment as approved BY THE PERSONNEL DEPARTMENT AND DISTRICT OFFICES, including but not limited to Department of Justice background check and Drug Screening.
Tutor employment is strictly AS-NEEDED, limited hours of ZERO to less-than 20 hours per week, and is subject to end at any time.
Sites will NOT hold applications. Please note there is no guaranteed employment nor processing time.
Tutor applicants will address the office/school representative, parents, students, personnel department and the public politely. If any tutor applicant uses obscenities or speaks in a demanding, loud, and/or insulting manner, the administrator or employee to whom the remarks are directed will admonish the speaker to communicate civilly. If corrective action is not taken by the abusing party, the District employee will verbally notify the abusing party that the meeting, conference or telephone conversation is terminated and, if the meeting or conference is on District premises, the offending person will be directed to leave promptly. Please refer to the complete Civility Policy for further details.
